Bangladesh Photography Workshop is a unique photography workshop in Asia that will surely take your photography skill to next level.  Our highly experienced  photographers will provide one to one intensive guidance to improve your photography skills in 12 days. Renowned international photographers will give feedback on your works online every two days during the workshop and will give you the tips to improve your skills instantly.

The Bangladesh Photography Workshop is held during the winter season (December – January). Winter is perhaps the most pleasant time to travel in Bangladesh, with temperatures down to between 10 and 25C.  If you’re from a cooler climate, you will especially enjoy travelling at this time of year.  The softer light enables good photography in Bangladesh all day long, and the misty countryside provides something of a mysterious feel.

The Workshop incorporates many locations around the country,  including the busy cities of old and new Dhaka, diverse country areas including wetlands, rivers, tea plantations and remote locations where participants will experience  rural lifestyles.

The variety of locations included in the Bangladesh Photography Workshop provides excellent opportunities to capture images of all types including portrait, landscape, documentary and daily lifestyle.

The Photography Workshop will be conducted by highly experienced local and international photographers who have extensive photographic skills and knowledge about the most photogenic locations in Bangladesh. Utilising this experience,  your tour guide and workshop leader will offer technical and practical advice enabling you to improve and hone your photography skills.

  1. Day 1 Dhaka

    Some of the places we visit today include the narrow streets of Old Dhaka, the busy Buriganga River terminal, the main Dhaka railway station and the ship breaking yard. All these locations are buzzing with activity and filled to the brim with people, colour and detail. Overnight stay in Dhaka.

  2. Day 2 Dhaka

    Another full day with visits to Amin Bazar river bank – a very busy place where a huge number of people load and unload bricks, sand and coal. A brick factory, an area of the train track where many people reside and congregate and an evening fish and vegetable market. Overnight stay in Dhaka.

  3. Day 3 Morning train to Rajshahi

    We take the morning train to the northern divisional city of Rajshahi (an approximate 7 hour journey).  After lunch we’ll go the banks and islands of the River Ganges for some afternoon photography followed by an evening shoot in the busy streets of the city. Overnight stay in Rajshahi.

  4. Day 4 Move to Bogra

    Early this morning we will visit a local vegetable market.  Filled with colour and activity, it’s a wonderful place for photographs.  We’ll also visit the busy old rail track where we will find many people going about their business. After this we drive for approximately 4.00 hours for an afternoon shoot at the River Island near, farmland and villages near to Bogra.  Overnight stay in Bogra.

  5. Day 5 Move to Dinajpur

    Today we move on to Dinajpur (an approximate 5 hour journey). Home to the magnificent Hindu temple Kantanagar.  Street markets, rural sights and serene lakes can be found in this area, and there will be plenty of photo opportunities en route including rice processing plants, fishing activities, brick factories, river life, people working in the fields. Overnight stay in Dinajpur.

  6. Day 6 Fly to Chittagong

    We’ll spend the morning in the countryside in Dinajpur before heading to Saidpur airport to catch the connecting flight to Chittagong.  The afternoon will be spent at busy old part of Chittagong city.  Overnight stay in Chittagong.

  7. Day 7 Full day activities at Chittagong

    We shall start very early in the morning to shoot at the biggest fish market of the country. We we shall spent sometime at salt and ice factory. We will also discover the riverside and fishing village where fishermen unload fish from the traditional boats.  Afternoon will be spent at the busy streets and railway stations.

  8. Day 8 Morning train to Sylhet

    We take the morning train to Sylhet (an approximate 7-8 hour journey). Travelling by train always affords photo opportunities, and this is no exception, whether you shoot inside or outside the train. Later in the day we’ll walk the streets of Sylhet in the early evening for some more photographs.  Overnight in Sylhet.

  9. Day 9 Move to Srimangal

    An early start this morning with a visit to a vegetable market and a look around the old streets. After this we drive to Srimangal (an approximate 2.5 hour journey).  We will visit wetlands, rivers and villages en route.  Overnight stay in Srimangal.

  10. Day 10 Srimangal

    Today we visit the beautiful tea plantations, a tea picker’s village, a tribal village, wetlands and more.  Overnight stay in Srimangal.

  11. Day 11 Afternoon train to Dhaka

    Morning activities in the railway station.  In the afternoon we catch the afternoon train to Dhaka. (Approximate 5 hour journey).  Overnight stay in Dhaka.

  12. Day 12 Tour end

    Transfer to airport as per individual flight schedules.
