Dhaka is one of the world’s mega cities, and with a population of 16 million people there is so much happening and you’ll always find something around you to shoot.  Busy 24 hours a day, Dhaka is one of the best cities in Asia for street photography, providing an exhilarating experience for photographers.

Our Dhaka photography tour is designed to improve your skills and help you produce some great images.  The tour takes you to many interesting places in the city of Dhaka, some of which are not conventional photography locations, such as exploring the narrow streets of old Dhaka.  There will be plenty of opportunities to capture some great images and documentary photography at various locations.

You will be escorted on this tour by a highly experienced photo guide and photographer with an infinite knowledge of Dhaka and its photographic potential.

Activities

Morning: You will be collected from your accommodation in Dhaka at approximately 6.00 am and will be taken to the Sadarghat river terminal to experience the bustling life at this busy location.  We will travel in a small boat, allowing you to capture images of this vibrant port and all its action from the water.   You will be exploring both sides of the river and will take full advantage of the light as it reaches its peak.  After this you’ll have breakfast at a local restaurant before going to the narrow streets of old Dhaka – a truly magnificent place for street photography.

Lunch Break- Lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant in old Dhaka.

Afternoon: We will break for lunch around 1.00 pm after which we’ll visit Dhaka’s busiest railway station – Kalamapur.  People, people and more people!  On the platforms, on the tracks and riding inside, outside and on top of the trains.  This place is teaming with life and colour and an excellent location for photography.  After this we will visit Karwan Bazar, the largest wholesale market place for vegetables, fish and other goods in the region. At the conclusion of the tour you will be dropped at your accommodation by 5.00 pm.
