    All about the Bangladesh Holiday Tour.

You’ll also be visiting archeological sites, beaches, lakes, and forests. Travelling by train and boat will make this trip unique and memorable.  In addition to visiting some of the more frequented tourist destinations, we will also go off the beaten track for you to experience local villages and the families who live there, markets, factories and farmlands.     1. Day 1 Arrival in Dhaka

      Upon arrival in Dhaka our guide will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight stay in Dhaka.

    2. Day2 Dhaka and boat journey

      Our guide and driver will collect you around 8.00am this morning and assist you in checking out from the hotel.  After this we will embark on a full day excursion of Dhaka.  You will visit many well known sites in Dhaka including The National Parliament building (exterior only), Curzon Hall, Dhaka University, Dhakeswari Temple, Lalbagh Fort, The Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, Star Mosque,  Shankharia Bazar (known as Hindu Street ) and Ahsan Manzil.  In the early evening (6pm) you will be transferred to the Rocket paddle steamer for an overnight journey to Hularhat.

    3. Day3 Khulna

      Arrival in Hularhat will be around 10.00am.  Today we will drive to Bagerhat to visit the famous Sixty Dome Mosque (built in the 15th century) which is considered the most impressive mosque in this subcontinent.  After a short sightseeing tour in Bagerhat we will drive to Khulna for an overnight stay.

    4. Day4 Boat Journey-Sundarban

      You’ll be transferred to the waiting boat and soon after boarding the we will be cruising south towards Sundarban.  Having completed the formalities at the Forest Department Station near Mongla Port, we  travel towards the south-eastern part of the jungle.  If time permits your guide will offer some activities in the forest. Overnight on board.

    5. Day5 Sundarban

      Shortly after sunrise we welcome you to discover the narrow creeks, allowing a close look at this magnificent mangrove forest.  After a leisurely lunch we will continue to explore the forest before commencing our return journey and anchoring at a convenient place for an overnight stay in the forest.

    6. Day6 Khulna

      We set sail early in the morning, arriving Khulna in the evening.  Dinner will be served on the boat after which we disembark and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay in Khulna

    7. Day7 Morning train to Rajshahi

      Today we catch the morning train to Rajshahi, with a journey time of around 6 -7 hours,  arriving in Rajshahi in the afternoon. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel and have a late lunch.  Later you will visit a silk factory, watch the production process and purchase silk items if you wish. From here we will go directly to the banks of the River Ganges to enjoy the sunset.  Overnight stay in Rajshahi. 

    8. Day8 Bogra

      After breakfast we depart Rajshahi for Bogra.  En route to Bogra we’ll visit the charming town of Puthia, renowned for the largest number of historically important Hindu structures in Bangladesh, including The Govinda Temple – decorated with intricate terracotta designs and located in the courtyard of one of the country’s best old Rajbaris.  Our next stop will be in Natore where we’ll visit two of the most spectacular Rajbaris in the country.  Natore Rajbari is one of the oldest landlord houses in Bangladesh.  After this we’ll continue driving towards Bogra (a district town in north Bangladesh).  On arrival, (time permitting) we may take a short walk followed by dinner in the town.  Overnight stay in Bogra.     

    9. Day9 Dinajpur

      After breakfast we depart Bogra for Paharpur Buddhist Monastery.  En route we will visit one of the oldest archeological sites in Bangladesh,  ‘Mahasthangarh’ which is located  12km from the town of Bogra.

      Dating from the 8th century AD, the Somapui Vihara in Paharpur is considered the most impressive and important archaeological site in Bangladesh and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  It was once the largest Buddhist monastery south of the Himalayas.  We continue our drive towards Dinajpur and on arrival check into the hotel.  If time permits we will visit a landlord house before settling into the hotel and dinner.  Overnight stay in Dinajpur.

    10. Day10 Dinajpur

      After breakfast we take a short drive of around 20 minutes to visit ‘Ramsagar’ the largest manmade pond in Bangladesh.  After this we drive to Kantanagar to visit the famous Kantajew Temple, considered the finest terracotta Hindu temple in this subcontinent.  The temple was built by King Prannath in the19th century.  After returning to the hotel for lunch and a short rest we will spend the afternoon and evening exploring the town.  Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant.  Overnight stay in Dinajpur. 

    11. Day11 Connecting flight to Cox's Bazar

      This morning you’ll be transferred to Saidpur airport to catch the flight to Dhaka, later you will take another flight to Cox’s Bazar. Upon arrival  you will be transferred to your hotel.  You will be welcomed in the after to enjoy the sunset in the beach. Overnight in Cox’s Bazar 

    12. Day12 Full day Fuactivities in Cox's Bazar

      You will visit a local fish market in the morning where hundred  boats arrive from the sea to sell the fish.  Later you will be exploring the coral beach, temples and Maheskhali island. You will spend the afternoon in the beach area.

    13. Day13 Drive to Chittagong

      After breakfast you will drive to Chittagong by the reserved car, we will make a few stops en route to Chittagong. Our first stop will be at Ramu where you will visit a buddhist monastery and village. Our next stop will be at a local Market where see different  activities of  local people. You will arrive in Chittagong sometime in the afternoon. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight in Chittagong

    14. Day14 Sightseeing in Chittagong

      After breakfast you shall be invited for sightseeing tour in Chittagong city including Chetteswari temple, Second World War cemetery ethnological museum. Later we will drive (approximately 1.30 hours drive) to Shitakunda to visit ship breaking. You will enjoy a boat ride there to see some activities  from outside as you are not allowed to go inside. If time permit we will visit fishing village along the sea before starting return journey to Chittagong. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight in Chittagong

    15. Day15 Train journey to Srimangal

      You will be transferred to Chittagong Railway station to catch the morning train to Srimangal (it is about 6.00 hours journey). Upon arrival in Srimangal you will be transferred to the hotel. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. Overnight in Srimangal 

    16. Day16 Full day activities in Srimangal

      The day will start early in the morning for a wonderful wildlife trek through near by Lawachara Rain Forest. awacharra forest is home to a large variety of rare and endangered species, the most prominent of which are the Hollock Gibbons. You will also visit a tribal village into the Jungle. You will return to the cottage before breakfast. Later you will be welcomed to visit some amazing tea plantations, Madhabpur Lake, Tribal Villages. In the afternoon you will be invited to visit the famous seven layer tea shop and enjoy a famous cup of tea. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant in the town. Overnight in Srimangal.

    17. Day17 Drive to Sylhet

      After breakfast you will drive to Sylhet. You shall make few stops at couple of places to to visit one of the biggest wetlands in southeast Asia and the biggest waterfall in Bangladesh Madhabkunda. You will arrive in Sylhet sometime in the afternoon. Later you will enjoy a short walk in the city followed  by dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Sylhet

    18. Day19 Full day tour to Ratargul Swamp Forest & Bichanakandi

      After breakfast you will drive to Ratargul Swamp forest . Upon arrival we will take a short boat ride to explore the forest.  Later we shall continue drive towards Bichankandi which located in the border of India and Bangladesh. This places famous for Indian hill views, waterfalls, stone collecting activities and boat ride down to the hills.  You will return to Sylhet sometime in the afternoon. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant. 

    19. Day21 Tour end

      Depending on the flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight.

    Yes, you can travel safely.  Bangladeshi people are super friendly and welcoming.

    This tour is subject to availability of the accommodation, air, train and boat tickets. We therefore strongly suggest you book this particular trip at least 15 days prior to your intended arrival in an attempt to assure confirmation.

    The cabin will be air conditioned for the Dhaka to Hularhat Journey.  However, the boat from Khulna to the Sundarbans will not be air conditioned.

    There is no internet connection in the Sunadarbans, however wifi  is available at all the hotels on this tour.

    You can purchase a sim card from the airport, it is easier to get a card from there

    First class cabin will be booked for this journey. However, you might have to travel in second class just in case of the unavailability of the ticket.

    You might have to travel with local transport such as Tuk Tuk at certain places as per the itinerary
