TOP THINGS TO DO IN DHAKA

DHAKA- is more than 400 years old city and it is one of the most populated cities of the world. However, the life is very colorful and lively here.If you are already in Dhaka or planning to visit you may consider visiting the following places.

National Parliament Building Complex 

It is located at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar of the capital.  You can take a short trip there. We recommend you to visit the north and south parts of the building as those parts are the most spectacular.

Ahsan Manzil 

is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Dhaka. It was the official residence of the Nowab of Dhaka. But,it has been turned into a museum and is a branch of the Bangladesh National Museum. 

Lalbagh Fort 

Lalbagh Fort is an incomplete Mughal structure in Dhaka. Its a historical place for various reasons. The unique Mughal architectures of this fort and its well maintained garden will give you a different impression about this mega city.

Sadarghat 

is the busiest river terminal in Dhaka and it located on the banks of the Buriganga river. If you are interested in photography or are adventurous and curious to discover the local life then you can take a short walk through the terminal and take a boat ride on the river.

Star Mosque

Star Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Dhaka and is located at Armanitola in the old city.  If you are planning to visit this place, we recommend you combine other nearby destinations such as the Armenian Church, Hindu Street and Ahsan Manzil in your plan.

Armenian Church

This is the only Armenian Church in Bangladesh. It is situated at Armenian Street in old town. We recommend you visit in the morning to avoid the heavy traffic.

Hindu Street

Hindu Street is located in old city.  A short walk through the narrow street will allow you to discover colorful local Hindu life. In to of that, you can also include nearby Ahsan Manzil and Sadarghat in your plan.

Rikshaw Art

The local street artists work on different topics for the decoration of Rikshaws.  If you are interested to explore this work visit Bongshal Street in old Dhaka.

Curzon Hall

Curzon Hall is one of the magnificent British structures in the city and is situated in the premises of Dhaka University.

Dhakeswari Temple

Dhakewari Temple is the oldest temple in the city and also the National Hindu temple of Bangladesh.
