Day 1 Dhaka
Early morning at the busy river terminal, ship yard, busy streets in old Dhaka and central train station.
Day 2 Dhaka
Places to visit – the busy river bank where a huge number of people load and unload brick, sand and coal. A brick factory, evening fish and vegetable market, the rail trail and nearby places.
Day 3 Morning train to Khulna
Morning train to Khulna (approximately 8 hours journey). Evening photography in the busy streets of Khulna city.
Day 4 Khulna
Full day of activities in and around Khulna.
Day 5 Morning train to Rajshahi
Morning train to Rajshahi (approximately 6 hour journey) – activities at the Ganges river bank, the river island and at the evening market.
Day 6 Rajshahi
A full day of activities starting with the morning vegetable market, the indoor markets, villages and river islands.
Day 7 Morning train to Dhaka
Today we depart Rajshahi for Dhaka by the morning train, with a journey time of around 8 hours. Overnight in Dhaka.
Day 8 Train to Chittagong
We take the morning train to Chittagong (around 7 hours journey) and visit the river side in the afternoon. Overnight in Chittagong.
Day 9 Chittagong
We visit the biggest fish market of the city very early in the morning, after which we will visit fishing villages, an ice factory and an industrial area. Overnight in Chittagong.
Day 10 Overnight Train
A full day of activities in Chittagong. Overnight train to Sylhet.
Day 11 Sylhet
The day is free to rest and relax. In the evening we will engage with some street photography followed by dinner. Overnight in Sylhet.
Day 12 Srimangal
An early start this morning with a visit to a vegetable market and the old streets. Later we drive to Srimangal where you will visit wetlands, rivers and nearby villages on the way.
Day 13 Srimangal
Tea plantations, tea pickers village, tribal village, wetlands. Overnight in Srimangal.
Day 14 Dhaka
Transfer to the train station to catch the afternoon train to Dhaka.
