ITINERARY 

Day1: You will be received from your location in Dhaka and transferred to the railway station to catch the morning  train to Srimangal. It is about 5.00 hours train journey to the tea capital Srimangal. You will arrive there sometime in the midday. After lunch at a local restaurant you will be invited for sightseeing in and around Srimangal. You will start the tour visiting  a few amazing tea plantations followed by Bikkabil ( near by wetlands which is quite unique  for birdwatching  and discovering the local life) and a stop to the famous seven layer tea shop for experiencing this unique tea from Srimangal. You will be transferred  to the hotel/resort for overnight stay.

Day2: We start early this morning, with a trek through the beautiful Lawachara National Park – this is the best time of day to observe wildlife.  Lawachara is one of the last remaining tropical rain forests in Bangladesh, and home to rare flora and fauna including the endangered Hollock Gibbons.  Dedicated bird watchers and nature lovers from all around the world visit this forest in the hope of sighting a rare species.  During our trek we visit a tribal village deep in the forest.  A unique experience in itself, allowing travellers a brief glimpse of the lives of these little known people. After the trek we return to the resort for a welcome breakfast and a short rest. Later we will drive through tea plantations for visiting Madhabpur Lake you will also spend sometime at a Monipuri tribal villages before returning to the resort/hotel. You will be transferred  to Srimangal railway station around at 4.00pm to catch the evening train to Dhaka.

Important note: 

This trip is not available  on Tuesday as the morning train (Parabat Express) is not available on this day.  However, if you are willing customise the plan slightly the trip can be arranged by the midday train, reserved vehicle or public bus. Read more in the FAQ sections
