    1. Day 1 Arrival in Dhaka

      Upon arrival in Dhaka you will be transferred to your hotel.  Depending on traffic this journey will take around 30 minutes (minimum).  Overnight stay in Dhaka.

    2. Day 2 Dhaka city tour & O/N boat journey

      After breakfast you’ll check out from the hotel and be driven to Old Dhaka.  The guide will show you the most attractive and interesting sites of Old Dhaka, of which there are many.  Later you will be transferred to the paddle wheel steamer boat – popularly called a ‘Rocket’ for the start of your journey on the water, setting sail at 6.30 pm.  Overnight stay on the Rocket steamer.

    3. Day 3 Khulna

      Arriving in Hullarhat around noon we will drive to Bagerhat to explore the famous sixty dome mosque.  It’s the the most impressive mosque in this sub-continent, and built in the 15th century it’s a world heritage site.  After this you will be transferred to your hotel in Khulna.  Overnight stay at the Hotel City Inn, Khulna.

    4. Day 4 Sundarban forest

      An early start today as the boat begins cruising to the south.  After a few hours the boat will stop at a forest station to complete formalities and pick up forest guards who will accompany us on our journey.  We resume our journey, arriving at Kotka forest station late in the afternoon.  Here we will anchor for an overnight stay.  If time permits, your guide will offer some activities in the forest.  Overnight stay on board in Sundarban.

    5. Day 5 Sundarban forest

      Soon after sunrise you’ll be invited to board a wooden country rowboat to explore the narrow creeks and take a close look at the unique mangrove fauna and flora.  Following a leisurely breakfast your guide will offer a variety of activities, including an easy trek to the pristine beach facing the Bay of Bengal, or a hike through the mangroves.  There will be more activities offered in the afternoon.  Overnight stay on board in Sundarban.

    6. Day 6 Back to Khulna city

      Depending on the tides, the boat will begin the return journey on the high tide, arriving in Khulna in the evening, with a journey time of 10 hours.  After disembarking you will be transferred to your hotel in the city.  Overnight stay at the Hotel City Inn, Khulna.

    7. Day 7 Otter Fishing Tour, Khulna

      After breakfast we will drive to a fishing village in Narail where you will experience traditional otter fishing.  Lunch will be arranged locally before returning to your hotel.  The day will involve a total travel time of 4 hours and 4 hours sightseeing.  Overnight stay at the Hotel City Inn, Khulna.

    8. Day 8 Sylhet

      We will take the morning flight to Sylhet via Dhaka. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.  After a rest we will take a short city tour. Overnight stay in Sylhet.

    9. Day 9 Full day activities in Sylhet

      A full day excursion to Bisnakandia and Ratargul swamp forest, arriving back in Sylhet by late afternoon.  Overnight stay in Sylhet.

    10. Day 10 Tamabil,Jaflong-Srimangal

      Today we head towards Srimangal, and en route we visit Tamabil and Jaflong – hilly border areas with India.  Overshadowed by subtropical rain forests, hills and the Dawki River.   All of these locations are situated close by the Indian Meghalaya Ranges.  In this area you will see beautiful wide rivers, dense green countryside and you will also observe stone harvesting from the River Sharee.  The natural beauty of these destinations makes them highly popular among local and foreign tourists.  Overnight stay in Srimangal.

    11. Day 11 Srimangal & O/N train to Chittagong

      We start early this morning, with a trek through the beautiful Lawachara National Park – this is the best time of day to observe wildlife.  Lawachara is one of the last remaining tropical rain forests in Bangladesh, and home to rare flora and fauna including the endangered Hollock Gibbons.  Dedicated birdwatchers and nature lovers from all around the world visit this forest in the hope of sighting a rare species.  During our trek we visit a tribal village deep in the forest. Afternoon will be free for taking rest. In the early evening you will be transferred to Srimangal railway station for boarding an overnight train bound for Chittagong (an approximate 8.5 hour journey).

       

    12. Day 12 Chittagong

      Upon arrival you will be transferred to the hotel in Chittagong. In the afternoon, you will be invited to join a city tour and later you will drive to Patenga beach to enjoy the sunset. Overnight in Chittagong.

    13. Day 13 Bandarban

      After breakfast and hotel checkout we drive to the airport to catch a short flight (50 minutes) to Chittagong.  Upon arrival you will be met and driven to your accommodation in Bandarban (the journey by road will take around two and a half hours).  In the afternoon, having settled into your accommodation you will visit Meghala Holiday Complex in Nilachol.  This place is often referred to as the Darjeeling of Bangladesh, and from the high point you will have a view of the town of Bandarban and the Buddhist Ram Jadi Temple.  Overnight stay at the hotel/resort Bandarban.

    14. Day 14 Bandarban

      Today we drive to the third highest peak in Bangladesh, Chimbuk.  At 2500 feet above sea level the zig-zag journey by road takes in some beautiful countryside on the way.  Whilst at the top, among the clouds, the view is spectacular, with a huge horizon all around and the dense green countryside filled with hills before you.  We will then visit a nearby Murong village.  The Murong people are identified as a sub-group of the Chin people.  The majority of these people live in Myanmar but have also spread up to the hilly districts of South Eastern Bangladesh and the waterfalls of Shoilopropat.  We will also visit a Bawm village in Faruk Para.  The Bawm people are one of the smallest ethnic groups in Bangladesh and in 2011 it was estimated there were around 10,000 Bawn people in the hill tracts area.  There will be an optional walk down to the River Sangu, and on arrival enjoy a scenic boat ride to the town of Bandarban.  There we will visit the local market and and a Tripura village.  Tripura people are the original inhabitants of the Kingdom of Tripura and considered part of the Tibeto-Burman ethnic group.  (The total journey time today is approximately 4 hours, a one hour walk, an hour for shopping and 3 hours sightseeing).  Return to your accommodation for dinner.  Overnight stay at the hotel/resort, Bandarban.

    15. Day 15 Cox’s Bazar

      After breakfast we will drive to Cox’s Bazar, with a journey time of 3 hours (125 kms).  At 150 kms long, Cox’s Bazar has the longest unbroken sandy beach in the world.  You will be transferred to your accommodation, the Mermaid Beach Resort where you will be able to enjoy the beach and have free time.  Overnight stay at Mermaid Beach Resort, Cox’s Bazar.

    16. Day 16 Cox’s Bazar

      The whole day will be free for you to spend as you wish at the resort.  A speed boat ride, a ride in a kayak or a visit to the nearby coral beach of Inali to see the sunset are activities that may interest you.  Overnight stay at Mermaid Beach Resort, Cox’s Bazar.

    17. Day 17 Fly back to Dhaka

      The morning will be free for your own activities after which you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight to Dhaka.  Transfer to the airport will take approximately 30 minutes, with a flight duration of 1 hour to Dhaka.  On arrival in Dhaka you will be transferred to your accommodation and later may choose to spend some time shopping.  Overnight stay in Dhaka.

    18. Day 18 Full day tour in Dhamrai

      After breakfast we’ll drive towards Savar to visit the National Martyr’s Monument.  We will also visit Dhamrai, well known for its brass artisans.  Here you can observe the making of a variety of traditional utensils and religious objects.  After this the tour will continue to Nayarhat where we will leave the vehicle and take a short (30 minute) boat ride to Palpara.  Here you will observe local people making pottery.  At both Dhamrai and Palpara you will have an opportunity to buy unique locally made items.  After returning to the vehicle and having lunch at a local restaurant we will travel back to Dhaka.  On the way we’ll visit the beautiful Jahangirnagar University campus. Famous for its natural beauty and the flocks of migratory birds visiting the lakes in the winter. Today’s tour involves a 100 km drive, taking approximately 4 hours with around 3 hours for sightseeing.  Overnight stay in Dhaka.

    19. Day 19 Tour end

      Following check out from the hotel you will be transferred to the airport to catch your international flight.

    We recommend you bring hiking shoes, an umbrella or rain coat and mosquito repellent.

    Travelers should wear long pants and loose clothing, including a head scarf (females only) when visiting places of worship.

    The Bangladeshi people are renowned as being super friendly and they happily allow tourists to take pictures.  However, we suggest you seek permission before taking any pictures of people, especially of women.

    This tour is subject to the availability of accommodation, air, train and boat tickets.  As such we strongly advise booking this particular tour at least 15 days prior to your proposed departure.
