How to travel to Tamabil & Jaflong from Sylhet: 

Depending on your budget, you can hire a car for whole day sightseeing at Lalakhal, Tamabil and Jaflong. CNG, Leguna and public buses are also available in this route. However, it is recommend  to avoid three wheels vehicles for the long journey.  You might have to spend about 4000.00 to 5000.00 Tk for a reserved car.  CNG would coast about 2000.00 Tk for whole day trip.  Bus fare from Sylhet to Jaflong is 60.Tk

2.Lalakhal 

Lalakhal is a popular tourist destination to take a cruise on the Shari River. This beautiful river, with its crystal clear blue water emanates from the hills of Meghalaya State in India. Starting at Sharighat boat station, you will enjoy a couple of hours on the Shari River. Fresh air, the activities of stone collectors and local people on the banks of the river and views of the majestic Indian ranges will make this trip a truly memorable experience. With prior booking you may wish to have lunch at the Lalakal Riverside restaurant.

3.Ratargul Swamp Forest 

is the only fresh water swamp forest in Bangladesh and is located at the Shari Goyan River of Gowainghat Upazilla. In recent years this location has become popular among both local and international tourists. Access to the forest is from Ratargul boat station, which is around one hours drive from Sylhet by CNG or car. There are no good restaurants in the Ratargul area, it is therefore advisable  to take a packed lunch with you. The cost for an hour long boat trip into the forest varies according to the season, but in general would be between 1000 to 2000 taka.

4.Bichanakandi 

Bichanakandi is located on the border of Bangladesh and India.  The picturesque hill view, with its carpet of stones, rural life and sand and stone collecting activities are the main attractions at Bichanakandi. Combining Ratargul and Bichankandi makes for a pleasant day trip from Sylhet.

5.Khadimnagar 

National Park is located at Khadimnagar which is 14 kilometres from the city centre.  The total area of this park is around 680 hectares and is home to 352 species of plants, 20 species of reptiles, 25 species of birds and 26 species of mammals.
