ITINERARY

Day1: We take the morning train from Dhaka to Sylhet with a journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.  After a rest we will take a short city tour. Overnight stay in Sylhet.

Day2: A full day excursion to Bisnakandia and Ratargul swamp forest, arriving back in Sylhet by late afternoon.  Overnight stay in Sylhet.

Day3: Today we head towards Srimangal, and en route we visit Tamabil and Jaflong.  This is a hilly border area with India, overshadowed by subtropical rain forests and the Dawki River – the colour of  the water shifting from blue and green to clear at various times..   All of these locations are situated close by the Indian Meghalaya Ranges.  In this area you will see beautiful wide rivers, dense green countryside and you will also observe stone harvesting from the River Sharee.  The natural beauty of these destinations makes them highly popular among local and foreign tourists.  Overnight stay in Srimangal

Day4: An early start today for a trek through Lawachara National Park. This is the best time for a unique experience and to observe wildlife.  The endangered Hoolock Gibbon lives in the high trees of this park and if you are lucky you will see some, though you will most certainly hear them first!   A delightful walk around winding tracks and across small streams before visiting a tribal village deep in the forest makes this excursion extra special.  After lunch in the afternoon we visit Bikkabil, a tea growing area with lush landscapes and interesting local life.  If time permits we will also visit Madhabpur Lake, which is surrounded by tea plantations.

Day5: We take an early morning walk through the peaceful tea plantation before having breakfast. After this we’ll visit a tea picker’s village before returning to your accommodation for lunch and departure. We catch the afternoon train to Dhaka.
